How can I tell you more than I can know?
All the oceans in me fall away.
Precious thoughts, when wild emotions blow,
Pause fleetingly, but canâ€™t prolong their stay.
You are the dual anchors of my life
As inner tides well up and then decrease;
Nor can I see you else but man and wife,
Not two but one, a single source of peace.
I need the love you harbor for each other
Very much as if it were for me:
Each day with both a father and a mother
Rests within, a gentle ecstasy.
So may your love continue, sweet and strong,
As beautiful as now, your whole lives long.
Remember well my love for both of you:
Your future holds the hopes of more than two.

Today is the day, you have dreamed of all your life,
But I too have dreamed, of the day youâ€™d become a wife.
When you were a little girl, you played dress-up as the bride,
The daydream would then come, Iâ€™d be standing by your side.

We would then be looking, at a reflection in the mirror,
You in your dress, me with a tear.
You would be so beautiful, youâ€™d take my breath away,
Your eyes so bright and dancing, it had to be your day.

The reflection in the mirror would change, you are little again,
Playing like a bride, as my heart remembers when.
The memories come rushing back, just like it were yesterday,
Laughing, singing, talking and the games that we would play.

I come back to reality, to see you standing there,
I have so much to tell you, so many things to share.
I would let you know, you are everything to me,
From the moment you were in my arms, together we would be.

I am so very proud, of the woman you are today,
I wipe away a tear of pride, as I hand you your bouquet.
When some day you have a daughter, and are in my place,
Please remember fondly, this look upon my face.

For it holds much more than love, it holds your very heart,
You are my love, my life, my child, though we will be apart.
I am losing my little girl, to a wonderful loving man,
But I know you will be fine, for this is in Godâ€™s plan.

As I leave you now to make the walk, you are destine for,
I give you one last kiss for luck, and my love forevermore.

taaqo mein sajaya jaata hoon, aakhon se lagaaya jaata hoon
taweez banaya jaata hoon, dho dho ke pilaaya jaata hoon

juzdaan hareer-o-resham ke aur phool sitaare chaandi ke
phir itr ki baarish hoti hai, khusbu mein basaaya jaata hoon

jiss tarha se tota maina ko kuchh bol sikhaaye jaate hain
iss tarah parhaaya jaata hoon, iss tarah sikhaaya jaata hoon

jab qol-o-qasam lene ke liye takraat ki nobat aati hai
phir meri zaroorat parrti hai, haathon mein uthaaya jaata hoon

dil soz se khaali rehte hain, aankhen hain ke num hoti hi nahin
kehne ko main ek ek jalse mein parh parh ke sunaya jaata hoon

neki pe badi ka galba hai, sachchai se barhkar dhokha hai
ek baat hansaaya jaata hoon, sau baat rulaaya jaata hoon

ye meri aqeedat ke daawe, qanoon pe raazi ghairon ke
yun bhi mujhe ruswa karte hain, aise bhi sataaya jaata hoon.
